Kitchen Cabinet Painting
Cabinets are traditionally made out of wood, which is a gorgeous material to display. However, when this wood begins to age, it may need a little help to keep looking beautiful. If you have aging cabinets, but don’t have, or want to spend, the money on a new kitchen, we have solutions that can help you out! If your wood cabinets are already painted, we can help to freshen up that paint. If your cabinets are painted and you no longer want the color that’s on them, we can strip it off and repaint. And, if you have wood cabinets that haven’t ever been painted, we can customize them for you.
Painting Touch Up If you have wood cabinets that were already painted, at some point, but the paint is starting to chip or crack, we can help you out with that. There is no need to get new cabinets in this situation, instead, we can make them look brand new. If this is the option that you choose, we will go in and smooth out rough areas. After that is done, we can patch any cracks that need patching. Once the surface is nice, smooth and taken care of, we can use matching paint to touch up areas. Stripping If you have cabinets that are already painted and you just do not like the color anymore, the first big step is to strip your cabinets down. In this process, we will remove all hardware from your cabinets and separate the cabinet doors from the body of the cabinets. We then use a stripper to take off the existing paint and just a very thin top layer of wood from your cabinet pieces. We will usually do doors first and then go in and make sure that both, exterior and interior, of your cabinets are stripped down smooth. Repainting If you have chosen to alter the color of your cabinets, the first step, as discussed above, is stripping them down. Once we have a clean slate to work with, we can get to work on the exterior of your cabinets. It is entirely up to you how we go about painting your kitchen cabinets. We can paint all of the cabinets a solid color or we can paint the body of the cabinets one color and the doors of the cabinet a contrasting color, to give a little pop and uniqueness to your kitchen. Interior Painting Another option for a more modern and artsy kitchen is to have the interiors of your cabinets painted. While this can be done with doors on your cabinets, the interior paint won’t really show unless you open them. However, for an ultra modern look, consider having your doors completely removed and the interior of your cabinets painted. If you contract the exterior and interior paints, you can give your cabinets an incredible uniqueness. We are happy to help you paint your kitchen cabinets in any way that you would like. |
